born to love [11 Feb 2011|03:23pm]

The sun almost sets and I get this weird feeling like I was losing my mind,
I just cant stop thinking about Marie. She's at another place and I miss
her terribly. I keep telling her how much I love her and she said the same,
but I cant figure out if its just friendship or she too is falling for me.
But sometimes I think or I just want to think that she's sending me
signals; you know body languages and stuff. I still remember when I was 13
and she was 14 and we are young and still in high school where uncertainty
becomes everyone's issue, it was a very hot sunny afternoon of august when
I first heard the words other people say to the people they really care
about, I love you was being shouted at the whole school in front of many
people and that really makes me think twice.

After 8 years of being courted by men, we are still single and some kind of
don't want to be in a commitment. Sometimes we cant help ourselves well
even in public, we are still close, I mean really close like holding each
other while ordering food, make sweet gestures when every eye is looking,
well I don't care as long as I'm happy. Since then there has been an
unanswered question between us, we don't need to say it coz we can feel it,
but there is still a problem.

Hi NY Lesbians!

How's it going? I have just join this community in hopes of receiving some fashion advice. First a little background...

Growing up I was your typically Tomboy. I played sports, my best friends were guys, and I hated when I had to wear a dress once a week for church. As I have gotten older, I continue to not feel connected to my "feminine"/Woman side. I have continued to dress primarily as a tomboy, but I still find it so hard to find clothes that fit me, make me feel comfortable, and are boyish. I'm what you would call a "soft butch" or "futch" and among adding more gender neutral clothing to my life, I also really want a suit.

Case in Point.

Does anyone know of any great websites and/or stores in nyc that tailors to such women like myself?
Thanks in advance!

Figured this might be a good place to rant about something that has been bothering me. Yesterday morning my girlfriend and I were walking to the subway like we always do to take the train into times square for work.  We walk about 3 blocks together at 6:45 am every Monday but this one was different. This Monday we were not even really walking next to each other, both our mids were filled with what this busy day had in store for us. Not to mention exhausted from a crazy weekend.  As we are walking up the hill a big dark skinned guy decides to make fun of my girlfriends walk.  He started screaming as he walked by "your girls, your girls"  I didn't even realize at first until we turned around. He proceeded to scream at as horrible things. "your going to burn in hell"     "your women, you need men to plant the seen"   etc etc  but screaming so loud it drew the attention of several others that were on the block .  We kept asking  "what the fuck is wrong with you that you attack people for walking like that "  he had nothing to say  except "its wrong and you will burn for it"   I was beside myself !!!  Not to mention outraged because this started as an attack on my girlfriend.  I admit I was so outraged i picked up a plastic apple juice bottle as a last resort to throw it at this poor excuse for a mans head !!! unfortunately for me there was an innocent man blocking my firing range :)  What the hell is wrong with people  ??? at almost 26 years old this is the first time I have ever been attacked like that for doing nothing but walking   :
